EMTEQ is pleased to announce Santana Dotson will act as the celebrity emcee!

Former Green Bay Packer star will join in the festivities acting as emcee and auctioneer for the live auction.

For EMTEQ, a desire to give back to the community while engaging employees has produced incredible results.  In 2005, the company launced an annual golf event, the EMTEQ Charity Golf Outing.  In tis first year, it raised more than $4,600 for Children's Hospital and Health System's Child Abuse Prevention Fund (CAP Fund).  In just a few short years, the event has blossomed into year-round activities.  Vendors, customers and other business partners participate, along with the company's employees and their families.  As a result, EMTEQ's efforts produced a $92,000 gift for the CAP Fund in 2009.  In total, these events have raised $277,000!

Giving back while engaging our employees is important to us.  It's part of what we do that makes EMTEQ a great place to work. We chose to support the CAP Fund because we are a young company and our employees have young children.  We have all heard wonderful stories of what the CAP Fund does for kids, we wanted to be a part of giving back to the community by investing in our future.  We chose the CAP Fund because we wanted to support something proactive.

Child Abuse Prevention Fund

The Child Abuse Prevention Fund is a special fundraising initiative of Children's Hospital and Health System. Since 1988, the organization has distributed more than $8.5 million to support community-based child abuse prevention initiatives throughout Wisconsin.

Children's Hospital and Health System is only too aware of the damage caused by child abuse and neglect, and the organization is working on many fronts to help end it. The health system's approach is two-pronged:

• To provide the medical care and resources necessary to help victims recover.
• To provide and seek support for primary
  prevention initiatives that stop abuse from
  happening in the first place.

Your donations to the Child Abuse Prevention Fund help children and families across Wisconsin. Programs that can benefit from your gift include home visitation initiatives that help at-risk parents get started on the right foot when a baby is born;  education programs that help mothers and fathers improve their parenting skills; community education programs that deliver messages such as never shake a baby; and new, innovative approaches to strengthen families, enhance parenting skills and keep children safe from abuse and neglect.
